Photos and feelings from the life of a young photographer on the road.
RAP & REVOLUTION. The world of Jessica Lehrman.
Half asleep and cozy in my new brooklyn home, I made the mistake last night of turning on livestream at 2:00 am… 10 minutes later after watching what looked like 100s of cops “protecting” banks from 14 protesters… somehow - I wound up in my running shoes and in the backseat of a taxi with a fellow documentarian rushing to Union Square. When we arrived the craziness we saw on our screens had died down and literally all the cops had left. Although there was no “action” we ended up having a really magical time documenting something other than police brutality for once and getting an opportunity to talk to those we were shooting.
In bed by 6am, my new roomies probably think I’m nuts.
Brilliant shots, absolutely beautiful. The first one really gets me.
